9. Day: Bern / Uttigen

Bild
The last day has arrived not knowing if we should feel happy or sad. Happy to leave behind the puking, & terrible luck of our group, but sad to leave behind our amazing new connections or friends who will last forever. 99% of the boys where down stairs playing cards like old men. The girls where sleeping in dreading to see the sunlight peak out from our small window. At about 9 o clock they woke us up.. UGH!  After the best american breakfast and singing every american song we knew, we got ready for the best day! After a walk which feels like eternity we arrived at our rafting experience. We spent exciting 3 hours racing each other and even getting some hilarious rapids that ripped a girl off her chair. Soon later we got to go shopping and finished the day with singing the amazing home of the brave and eating an amazing dinner we got to experience with our friends, whom to which we have been through blood, sweat and tears.

Today we took a trip to Lausanne to visit the Olympic Museum.  At the Olympic Museum, we were immersed in the rich history and spirit of the Olympic Games. The kids were especially thrilled by the chance to test their skills in various sports activities and learn about the values of excellence, friendship, and respect that the Olympics represent. After our museum visit, we headed to the nearby lake for a snack break. The kids enjoyed their snacks while taking in the serene views and chatting about their favorite parts of the museum. In the late afternoon, we made our way back to Bern.

7. Day: Thun / Spiez

Today we started our day in Walkringen and traveled to the stunning town of Spiez. Here, we embarked on a beautiful hike through the vineyards, enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.  After our hike, we were treated to delicious homemade "Älplermagronen" prepared by our camp kitchen.  Following lunch, we took a ship ride back to Thun. The journey offered spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Once we arrived in Thun, we enjoyed some shopping time.  Then we headed back to the house in Walkringen, where some of us were staying throughout the day to fully recover.

Today was a bit different from our usual adventure-filled days. We decided to stay at our house in Walkringen to allow some of our campers to rest and recover from a bout of sickness. While it was a quieter day, it turned out to be a wonderful opportunity for relaxation and bonding. In the morning, we took things slow with a leisurely breakfast, followed by some calm and creative activities. The kids enjoyed drawing, reading, and playing board games. For lunch, our fantastic kitchen team prepared a comforting meal that everyone appreciated. In the evening, we gathered for a relaxed dinner, sharing stories and enjoying each other's company.

5. Day: Chur / Walkringen

Dear parents, Due to the weather in Wallis there was a change to our travel plans. We are staying in a magnificent house in Emmental for the next few days. After minor changes in the weekly schedule we are going to continue our activities in and around the valley of Emmental. Stay tuned for further updates from this lovely valley!

4. Day: Urnäsch / Gais / Chur

Today we began our day by leaving our house in Urnäsch and making a stop in the charming village of Gais. Here, we visited an old "Biber" bakery, where the kids had the unique opportunity to make their own Biber. Meanwhile, we enjoyed the stunning views of the Säntis mountain from the bakery. After lunch, we went to Chur, where the fun continued with a human-sized rock-paper-scissors game.  In the afternoon, we gathered to watch the European Championship game between Switzerland and Italy. Despite the mixed feelings about the game’s result, we still enjoyed the evening. For dinner, we had a delightful risotto.
